Hi, I’m Amanda.
If you find yourself in a difficult spot in life, feel your past presenting like a crippling burden, or are having hardships navigating life’s challenges due to anxiety & depression, I’m here to walk alongside you and help you experience reawakening of hope, discovering of joy, and healing within your soul. One of my greatest joys in life is walking alongside and with those who are on a path of healing and discovering true joy in their lives. I believe that change happens in therapy when there is an authentic relationship that yields a safe place for people to explore and address their feelings in a non-judgmental and comfortable way. One of my giftings in life is to build true connection through empathy. In my practice, I meet people where they are in life & work to ensure that clients feel valued and empowered in the therapy process.
Life can be difficult, pasts can present like crippling burdens, and there can be hardship in navigating through life’s many challenges. It is my desire to help people break free from the chains of the past, whatever they may be, so that they can rise up and experience peace, hope, and joy in their lives. God designs people beautifully and specifically. My desire is to help each of my clients explore this within themselves and to discover true joy that comes when we can see life through this lens. I feel honored to support my clients in their journey & to provide them with comfort in this process. I have found there is peace & comfort in having someone to talk to, to discover healing and restoration in life.
Specialties & Training:
I specialize in working with adults/teens with trauma, anxiety and depression issues, life stage changes and adjustments, chronic medical illnesses, grief and loss, end of life, marriage issues, parenting, and personal growth & discovery. I use many treatment methods to adapt to my clients' specific needs in addition to my own personal faith if the client is open to this.
I am formally trained in TF-CBT, EMDR, Level 1 Gottman Training, received my certificate in family practice when completing my MSW program, and am a Clinically Certified Trauma Professional (CCTP). Additionally I am trained as a Clinical Supervisor for LLMSW clinicians who are seeking supervision to complete their license requirements.
Education:
I started my career in social work as a family Reunification Worker who came alongside families within the child welfare system to help restore the brokenness in their families. I loved getting to work with clients on learning improved ways to work as a family & to connect & grow together in healthy ways. I also worked with adults with developmental disabilities as well as with children struggling with developmental disabilities and delays, coming alongside them to navigate challenges in life and to learn skills toward improved independence. When my husband and I lived in Arkansas, I worked in outpatient mental health as well as spent significant time working with students in the school for individual therapy for a myriad of reasons such as anxiety, depression, social problems, family conflict, and trauma. I have 5 years of experience working as a medical social worker for patients on dialysis and spent a lot of time focusing on navigating changes in life stages, end of life issues and grief and loss with patients. I then shifted to private practice work as a therapist during the pandemic and began specifically focusing on trauma and obtained my CCTP to specialize in this type of care.

Hi, I’m Matthew.
Hi. I’m Matthew. Have you ever had a thought that you are not where you’d like to be, that you need some help to turn the corner to become who you know you can be, help facing the challenges you are experiencing, or support to withstand the hardship you’re enduring? Have you had the thought that you can’t do it on your own? Do you desire for more out of life or a healthier mental state, but don’t know where to start? As a therapist, I am someone who is energized to work alongside you on your way to becoming and answering these questions. I am a former teacher and enjoy working with adults as well as middle school and high school aged individuals.
I connect easily with people in a non-intimidating way that allows for safely & confidently letting your guard down. This allows us to work on what is behind the exterior we show others. I meet people where they are and I believe you're wonderfully and beautifully made with purpose and care.
I will celebrate with you each small step of progress. I believe in the building of trust and genuine individual care, to provide the best environment for growth, which means working with each individual as uniquely as they are.

Education
Background:
I am a former teacher with 9 years of classroom experience. I was a music teacher, band director, and worked with students from kindergarten through senior in high school. I worked in a variety of settings from low-income, inner city to rural, farm communities to private school settings. One of my joys as a teacher was in walking alongside students in their learning process and seeing them grow in their skills and in confidence. As a teacher, I was active in seeing my students as individuals and working to teach the same thing in multiple ways to reach the most amount of students. I am and always have been relational in how I connect with people and this is something that I look forward to using as I develop relationships with my clients. As a teacher, I worked to develop a sense of individual ownership among the students and I look forward to translating this focus into therapy as people work toward becoming the person they desire to be.
